Post Atomizer lifetime
Hi folks.
I would like to know your experience with atomizers. How long do you keep them alive?
My two 801 Penstyle atomizers are now 4 months old. One has suddenly died yesterday, but the other one is still alive and well, although maybe a bit weaker than it used to be.
I totally quit analogs 4 months ago, and have fully enjoyed my e-cig every day since.
Just wondered how much I will have to spend on atomizers in the future.

Cheers.

Mik

Hey Mik!

Four months is an extremely long atomizer life! Have you been using cleaning methods? If so, please share with the group!

I find that my atty's will function for that long but the flavor can become pretty undesireable within 30 to 60 days. Even after cleaning them (boiling, soaking in pop, steam cleaning, blowing them out with compressed air) the good flavor only returns for an extra week or so which makes it not worth messing with them to save money. I know I'm saving a fortune over analogs so I am content with using a new atty every month. My batteries last much longer than 4 months so I estimate with a new atty every month and a one new set of batteries per year that my e-cig usage costs me (with liquid) about $500 - $600 per year. My analogs were costing me $50 per week or $2,500 per year

Hope this helps!

Thanks Phero.
You are right, I should not complain about the price of vaping :-)
I guess I just had the idea that atomizers would last much longer. But like you said, a 4 month life is quite good indeed. I never really did any cleaning of my atomizers. Just the occasional mouth-blow and drying procedure. That`s all.
Right now I am vaping on my remaining atomizer and it still works like new. But I guess it won`t be long, so I ordered a new one today :-) Just in case....

Thanks for your input.

Cheers.

Mik.

If you are a heavy vaper and use the same atomisers continuously, it will typically lose power or die in two or three weeks (a bit longer for 801s). I just bin them and stick in a new one...

Wow, it seems I have been lucky with my stuff :-) I just checked the date of purchase and it`s actually 3 and half month, not a full 4 months. Still, very good though. I bought two atomizers, one is dead and the other is still working, but not as strong as the new one I just recieved. I guess with my vaping frequenzy each atomizer will have a life-time of about 8 weeks then.

Thanks for the input, guys.

Mik.
